REFLECTION

Experience

Reflecting on semester 1 and this semester knowing the difficulty that comes with anything Typography, this sem, however, has through assignments and projects that cause us or me to think and plan out what and how the design should look like what is it for, who's the Target Audience is. and the challenge in the assignments and projects forced us to think critically and be diligent in our work process especially concerning the Trouble makers Project.

Observation

I was always scared to ask for feedback is maybe due to Mr. Vinod and Mr. Samshuls vibe not necessarily the response, being in the industry for some time of course they know their stuff so their feedback whether good or bad was key to moving forward throughout this sem, although they remind me of my time management issue and my execution needs work I still take that and do my best to work towards achieving the desired outcome

Findings

This sem, in particular, opened my eyes to see that during your design process you must know who your audience is and not being rigid and tied down to one way of doing things but we should think outside the box find out what others have to say and then relate that too if it suits the role and the Target Audience.

And we should always critique our own work, does it convey the message effectively, the typeface chosen, could the arrangement of the text be better things like that should be taken into consideration.

the trouble maker's event and the way the different speakers shared they're experienced in their respective fields opened my eyes to see that design should not just be appealing to the Target audience but also convey meaning within it.
