14/4/2020|Week 01

Task: Vocal story Recording

We were instructed to record a story that was familiar to us can be good or bad the choice is up to us, so I chose a memory that I had of my dog Simba which happened over a year ago but I remember it like it was just yesterday.

Task: Written Story

After the vocal recordings, we were tasked to then put it down in written format and express our emotions visually through lines.

Task: Character Description

We had to write a description of our main character which mine was Simba based on a few given criteria.

We were then are asked to write the story spine of our story and do 3 what if sketches.  

5/5/2020|Week 04

Task:3 Act Structure 

We then proceeded to write the 3 act structure for our story 

my initial 3 Act structure has a few loopholes so I needed to change it here is the initial which Mr.Martin made some comments on.

Then here is the amended and Final Version of my 3 act structure.

13/5/2020|Week 05

Task: Character Design and World Design

we then progressed on and slowly started finding references for our characters and the world I started sketching and designing Simba based on how he looks in real life here is are my slides.

24/5/2020|Week 06

Task: Project 1 Compilation

After all the long and tedious processes after all our writings and characters wear finalized we needed to compile everything into one

Mr.Martin advice me that the story should be more from Simba's perspective, not you the owner it would be more interesting which I totally agree on and made changes.

28|4|2020(Week 03)

After Mr. Martin's advice, I had to make some changes to my what-if scenarios.

5|5|2020(Week 04)

I had made a few changes in the story to make a few events add up within my 3 act structure.

No feedback just continued working on my character design and pitch bible for project 2.

REFLECTION

EXPERIENCES
Week 1(13|04|20)
The class was smooth and I was excited to get started on the semester and see the different things we would be doing and what this module was really about.

Week 2(20|04|20)
It was hard coming up with a vocal story recording so I just remembered the most recent and funny one I could think of.

Week 3(28|04|20)

i felt a bit angry with myself that I couldn't really transfer my imaginations to draw out my characters and it's a problem I've had when it comes to drawing, I took a few hours off to rethink what I should do. 

Week 04 (5|5|2020)

I finally got a few things down and progressed from the with Mr. Martin's feedback on my 3 act structure.

Week 05(13|5|2020)

Didn't experience much I was just focused on finishing my project 1 and amending a few things here and there.

Week 06(19|5|2020)

I had finally finished all the Amendment and finalized my story and characters I was pleased with the progress thus far.

OBSERVATIONS 

Week 1(13|04|20)
Everyone was ready to kick off this sem and I, in particular wondered what this module would be about if we would shoot a movie?

Week 2(20|04|20)
It was hard for me to come up with any good stories until I landed on my pet dog Simba lol.

Week 3(28|04|20)

at this point, I was quite lost but I relied on feedback.

Week 04(5|5|2020)

I listened to a few of my classmate's stories and saw how different they all were and tried to make mine a bit better any way I could.

Week 05(13|5|2020)

I was more focused during this week as I knew what I had to do.

Week 06(19|5|2020) 

I was happy cause everything was going according to plan.

i don't come up with stories easily.

i started losing steam as I was confused.

i took a break to recalibrate

Week 05(13|5|2020)

i successfully finished and I was more relieved and continued working

Week 06(19|5|2020) 

At the end of this week, I was happy with my work and proceeded to the next phase.
