MATCHING SOUND SOURCE 1
September 3rd, 2019

This week we had a first look on what Adobe Audition we were given samples of 7 sound files all with the same music but in different equalizer settings (frequency, gain). The objective of this exercise was for us to match the sound of the 6 different tracks to one of its original sound via the Parametric EQ effect.

Here are the 6 EQ we were assigned to Match.

Matching sounds-Part 2

Telephone Edit
For this project, we were manipulating sounds to make it seem like they are coming from different locations. We were given a sample of audio clips to work with. We started off by changing a voice clip to make it sound like it was coming from a Telephone.

EQ for Lady's Telephone Voice.

For the telephone sound voice, we had to lower the bass and increase the treble so the lady's voice will be clear.

Stadium Edit
For the Stadium voice, we needed to make the sound Echo so in that case We used Reverb and echo effects to create the echoing that usually happens  in large stadiums

Closet Edit
Then for the closet voice, we had to make the sound somewhat muffled to mimic a person talking behind the door.
EQ for Closet voice.

  EXPLOSION SOUND
Today's class, we were taught 5 techniques

1. layering: 2 or more sound mixed
2. Time-stretching: lengthen or shorten the audio
3. pitch-shifting: create a characteristic
4. Reversing
5. mouthing it: making own sound with mouth

And then we moved on to do an explosion sound and a 3 punch +1 blow

Project 1-Punches

For this project, Mr.Razif told us to make an edit for a series of punches using a given single file of the original punch audio source.
